The Watering Hole Tavern is looking for motivated and reliable Kitchen Assistants to join our growing kitchen team. Working alongside our chefs, you'll play an essential role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly while helping deliver quality meals to our guests.
Whether you're looking to begin a career in hospitality or already have experience in a commercial kitchen, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting chefs with food preparation.
- Washing dishes and maintaining kitchen equipment.
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and hygienic.
- Restocking ingredients and supplies throughout service.
- Assisting with receiving and storing deliveries.
- Helping with basic food preparation as directed by the chefs.
- Following food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Completing opening and closing cleaning duties.
What We're Looking For
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred, but not essential.
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual and well presented.
- A positive attitude and team-first mindset.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Food Safety knowledge is an advantage but not essential.
