About Stirling

Located approximately 45km South of Perth, the Stirling Health Centre is on base at HMAS Stirling on Garden Island. This base has a 4km causeway that connects the island to the mainland of Rockingham, and the health centre itself offers physiotherapy, dentistry, pharmaceutical, general medical and outpatient services, and provides support to the Submarine and Underwater Medicine Unit. Its standard hours of operation are 0730-1530, Monday-Friday.

This role is primarily Monday to Friday (day shift) within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

What you’ll do

- Deliver clinical dental services to Defence members





- Provide a full range of general dental care including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning and preventative care

- Undertake procedures such as restorations, extractions, root canal treatments, periodontal care and minor oral surgery

- Promote and maintain oral health through patient education, preventative strategies and ongoing care

- Use diagnostic tools including dental imaging to support clinical decision-making and treatment planning

- Maintain accurate clinical records using Defence eHealth systems and ensure compliance with governance frameworks

- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes

What you bring

- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dentist with AHPRA

- Minimum two years’ full-time (or equivalent) post graduate clinical experience, with recent practice within the last five years

- Strong clinical capability across a broad range of general dentistry procedures

- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certification

- Australian Citizenship required for baseline security clearance

- Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
