About the Role

As Club Manager, you'll take ownership of the team, culture, operational excellence and commercial performance of the club.

Reporting directly to the Franchise Owner, you'll lead the day-to-day operations while recruiting, developing and inspiring staff across all departments.

You'll build a high-performing, sales-driven culture while ensuring the club consistently delivers exceptional service, strong financial performance and an outstanding member experience.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

- Recruit, onboard, coach and develop staff across all departments.
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and development planning.
- Lead by example and create a positive, energetic workplace culture.

Sales & Commercial Performance

- Drive membership growth, retention and profitability.
- Lead sales performance across Memberships, Personal Training, Reformer Pilates, HYPOXI and FIIT30.
- Coach staff on lead generation, sales conversion and member retention.
- Monitor KPIs, conversion rates and business performance, implementing strategies to maximise results.
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue and operational efficiency.

Operations & Member Experience

- Manage the day-to-day operation of the club.
- Ensure exceptional standards of presentation, cleanliness and service.
- Deliver an outstanding member experience across every department.
- Conduct regular club audits and ensure compliance with Fernwood standards, company policies and workplace legislation.
- Support Department Managers to resolve operational challenges quickly and effectively.

Financial & Business Management

- Manage club profitability, expenses and P&L; performance.
- Analyse business reports and KPI data to drive informed decision-making.
- Develop action plans to improve commercial outcomes.

Marketing & Growth

- Lead local marketing initiatives to attract and retain members.
- Drive revenue growth across Memberships, Personal Training, Reformer Pilates, HYPOXI, FIIT30 and member retention.
- Support new business initiatives and operational improvements.




- Contribute to the ongoing growth strategy of the business.

About You

You're an experienced leader who enjoys building successful teams and creating exceptional member experiences.

You're commercially minded, passionate about women's health and fitness, and motivated by achieving results.

You'll bring:

- Proven success as a Club Manager or in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated ability to build, coach and lead high-performing teams.
- A strong track record of achieving sales targets and growing business performance.
- Excellent leadership, communication and coaching skills.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing KPIs, budgets and P&L.;
- Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A hands-on leadership style—you enjoy being visible within the club and leading from the front.
- Marketing experience or running successful local campaigns is highly regarded.
- A genuine passion for fitness, wellness and empowering women.

Preferred Qualifications

- Fitness industry experience highly regarded.
- Certificate III and/or IV in Fitness (desirable).
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Working With Children Check.
- Current Driver's Licence.

Availability

Availability to work across a flexible seven-day roster, including evenings and weekends as required.
