About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Microsoft 365 Administrator to manage and support our Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. The role is responsible for ensuring system security, performance, and reliability, while providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users as required. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to maintain efficient IT operations, support technology initiatives, and deliver a high standard of customer service.

Primary accountabilities of the Microsoft 365 Administrator include, but are not limited to:

- Administer, maintain, and support the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Power Automate.
- Implement and manage security configurations, compliance requirements, user access controls, and system governance across Microsoft 365 services.
- Monitor system health, performance, and service availability, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues relating to Microsoft 365 applications, cloud services, and end-user environments.
- Analyse business processes, user requirements, and operational workflows to identify opportunities for system improvements and enhanced functionality.
- Consult with users and internal stakeholders to gather requirements, recommend technology solutions, and improve collaboration and productivity across the organisation.
- Develop functional specifications, system documentation, user guides, and training materials to support Microsoft 365 applications and related technologies.
- Deliver training and ongoing support to staff to maximise the effective use of Microsoft 365 tools and services.
- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders on system migrations, upgrades, testing activities, service enhancements, and technology projects.
- Assist with the deployment and implementation of new solutions, including system testing, user acceptance activities, and quality assurance processes.
- Stay informed of emerging Microsoft 365 features, technologies, and best practices,



recommending improvements to enhance system efficiency, security, and user experience.
- Provide desktop and end-user support as required, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, operating system, and application issues.
- Manage and maintain desktop and laptop devices, ensuring they are appropriately configured, secured, and compliant with organisational policies.
- Respond to and resolve service desk requests within agreed service levels, providing both onsite and remote support to users across multiple locations.
- Assist with employee onboarding by configuring user accounts, workstations, devices, software, and access permissions.
- Act as a key point of contact for users, providing technical guidance, support, and assistance in relation to Microsoft 365 services and associated systems.
- Monitor service health, system performance, and potential security threats, implementing appropriate remedial actions to maintain system integrity and availability.
- Liaise regularly with internal stakeholders to identify evolving business requirements, provide updates on system performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establish priorities and manage workflow within the area of responsibility to ensure timely delivery of support services, projects, and operational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative, regulatory, security, privacy, and organisational policies, procedures, and standards applicable to the position.

The skills required to demonstrate success within their role:

Essential

- At least 3 years of experience as a Microsoft 365 Administrator or similar IT support role, with strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Power Automate.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting, system administration, automation, desktop support, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating system issues across Windows and macOS environments.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security, compliance requirements,



user access controls, and IT best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes within deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide effective support and guidance to both technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, building trust and maintaining effective working relationships with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Highly organised, self-disciplined, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage workloads, reprioritise tasks, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and commitment to continuous improvement, with the ability to overcome challenges and learn from experience.
- Strong ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism, including the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, will be highly regarded.

Desired

- Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, and other automation tools
- Familiarity with Azure Active Directory, Intune, and other Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Prior experience in a desktop support role or managing end-user devices in an enterprise environment.

Work Requirements:

- Clear National Criminal History Check.
- Working with Children’s Check.
- Valid NSW drivers’ license.
- Ability to work in Australia.
