Casual Duty Manager — Cazalys Cairns

For 40 years, Cazalys has been a celebrated fixture of the Cairns community. As a well-known local community club, Cazalys offers a world-class sporting stadium, ever-changing live entertainment, a buzzing gaming lounge, stylish restaurant and children's entertainment area.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Casual Duty Manager to lead shifts and keep our members and guests looked after. You'll take the lead on the floor during your shift — running operations, leading the team, and making sure every member and guest has a outstanding experience.

What You'll Be Doing

- Leading the operational team during your shift — staffing, communication, and performance

- Maintaining high standards of service, presentation, and cleanliness across the venue

- Handling member and guest concerns promptly and professionally

- Completing shift handovers, incident reports, and required documentation

- Ensuring compliance with liquor, gaming, food safety, WHS, and privacy requirements

- Supporting responsible gambling practices, including patron exclusion checks

- Upholding Club standards, policies, and procedures during every shift

What We're Looking For

- Current RSA and RSG (essential)





- Current Approved Managers Licence and RMLV (essential)

- First Aid Certificate (including CPR) (preferred)

- Knowledge of TAB operations; TAB-endorsed compliance training (preferred)

- 2–3 years' experience in a hospitality or licensed club environment

- Proven ability to lead a team and manage shift operations

- Solid working knowledge of liquor, gaming, and WHS compliance

The Details

- Classification: Level 7, Registered and Licensed Clubs Award 2020

- Employment type: Casual, including a casual loading in line with the Award, penalties apply on weekends

- Roster: Includes evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by the venue
