At STW, our powder coater is the final stage of our production process, applying sealant and colour to our customers' orders before tyre fitment or shipping.
This role takes an exceptional level of attention to detail.
We're not a production line, so every job will be different. No day will be the same!
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. SANDBLASTING
1.1. Prepare materials for sandblasting.
1.2. Keep the blasting station clear, neat and tidy.
1.3. Use manual sanding and polishing tools to finesse work in preparation for powder coating.
2. POWDERCOATING PREPARATION
2.1. Hang materials in preparation for coating.
2.2. Assemble materials as required.
2.3. Keep the Powder coating workstation, hanging racks, heater, painting booth, and walkways through the area clear, neat and tidy.
2.4. Maintain a clean and safe workspace and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
2.5. Undertakes other duties as directed.
3. POWDER COATING
3.1. Undertake powder coating processes using the oven and powder coating bay
3.2. Advise on product levels and reordering of consumables
3.3. Powdercoat to specifications on technical drawings
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE -
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Completion of Year 10 WACE or equivalent.
2.
Proficient in English.
3. Demonstrated ability to use power tools such as grinders, sanders, and buffers.
4. Experience in powder coating through work-based learning or from coursework
ELIGIBILITY:
1. Working rights in Australia. No Sponsorship is available for this role.
