Synergie Australia is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our valued client in Henderson, WA. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a full-time Permanent position working within but not restricted to the Defence industry, maintaining and supporting critical naval assets for the Australian Defence Force and other key clients.

- $50.00 per hour + Superannuation
- Monday to Friday, 6:30am – 3:00pm
- Overtime opportunities available

About the Role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a key role in maintaining a wide range of Defence equipment and naval systems. Working in a maritime environment, your responsibilities will include:

- Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment
- Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out efficient repairs to minimise downtime
- Applying mechanical and hydraulic expertise across diverse Defence assets
- Completing maintenance activities in accordance with technical documentation
- Accurately recording maintenance tasks using the maintenance management system




- Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets quality and compliance standards
- Assisting with the installation, commissioning and testing of new mechanical systems
- Carrying out general site duties while maintaining a strong commitment to workplace safety

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Australian Citizenship (essential)
- Australian Trade Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
- Minimum 2 years post-trade experience
- Experience working with hydraulic systems (highly regarded)
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence access pass, including police/security clearance requirements
