Care Squad is looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our team. Are you confident, patient, and passionate about supporting people with complex disabilities? We’re looking for open-minded, reliable, and compassionate staff to join our specialised support team!
Position: Support Worker
Location: Victor Harbor / Southern Adelaide
Client Profile :
- 2 Females
- Full Support daily living and Community Participation
- Diagnosis: Intellectual Disability, Mental health
What We’re Looking For:
Fluent English speaker
- Genuine care for people living with disability, dementia, or mental health conditions.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with clients and families.
- Patience, emotional resilience, and consistency when supporting behaviours of concern, sensory needs, and communication barriers.
- Ability to follow structured routines and implement therapeutic and behavioural strategies.

Responsibilities:
- Support participation in community outings
- Provide 1:1 support at all times
- Full assist for daily living tasks
- Assist with mealtime support
- Support participation in community access and structured routines
- Implement behaviour support strategies and follow care plans
- Attend and support at medical and therapy appointments
- Work closely with family, support coordinators, and allied health professionals
- Support transition planning toward Supported Independent Living (SIL)
- Uphold Care Squad’s standards of safety, dignity, and person-centred care
- Requirements:
- Certificate III (or higher) in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- First Aid & CPR (Required).
- Medication Administration competency (Required).
- Manual Handling experience (highly regarded)
- Experience with complex care,
non-verbal clients, or high-support needs (highly desirable)
- Driver’s Licence (Required)
