Community Support Worker Wanted – Maidstone Area
Hours: 2 shifts per week (approx. 4 hours per shift - Tuesday or Wednesday and Friday afternoon)
Pay rate: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour (e.g. SCHADS Award Level 2.1)
Location: Maidstone
Start date: Immediate
About the Role
We're looking for a warm, reliable, and patient support worker to provide community access support to an ASD participant living in the Maidstone area. This is a great chance for someone who enjoys building genuine connections and helping people get out and about, build confidence, and enjoy their community.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing 1:1 community access support (e.g. outings, shopping, appointments, social activities, hobbies)
- Supporting the participant to build independence and confidence in the community
- Assisting with things like groceries, meal prep, dog walking (must be ok with medium sized dogs), going to markets etc. in the Footscray area
- Following the participant's support plan and personal preferences
- Maintaining clear,
professional communication with the participant, supervisor and support coordinator
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting people with disability, mental health needs, or complex needs
- A friendly, patient, and respectful approach
- Reliable transport and a current driver's licence
- NDIS Worker Screening Check- current
- First Aid & CPR Certificate - current
- Police Check - current
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion (or willingness to complete)
- Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in person-centred support
