Vascular Specialist, private surgical practice

- Part time 2 days/ week (school hours), 10-12 hours and holiday relief

The Role
will involve:

- Meeting & greeting patients
- Booking & confirming appointments
- Smooth and efficient running of clinics
- Arranging Theatre bookings
- Managing phones & correspondence
- Administration and general office duties
- Billing surgical procedures
- Reconciling EFTPOS and Genie transactions
- some medical typing is required

Essential Criteria

- Strong organisation, prioritisation skills and the ability to multitask
- The ability to work effectively within team environments and work independently when required
- An ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled attitude, conduct and presentation
- The ability to engage professionally with patients and all other stakeholders




- High level of computer proficiency including (including Microsoft Office and Practice management software)
- Understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality in dealing with personal, patient and practice information

Desirable Criteria

You should also be able to demonstrate:

- Previous experience in the Healthcare sector with a Medical Secretary, Receptionist, or Medical Administration role
- Familiarity with Medical terminology
- Genie software experience (an advantage but transferable skills considered)
- Medicare and Health Fund billing
