Head Barista / Café Supervisor – Cohort Coffee Roasters | Bronte Beach
Join Cohort Coffee Roasters at our premium beachside café in the heart of the Bronte Beach community. We're looking for an experienced hospitality professional who is passionate about specialty coffee, great customer service, and leading a team in a fast-paced workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise morning coffee and breakfast service
- Deliver consistently high-quality coffee and manage espresso dial-ins
- Handle high-volume coffee production during busy periods
- Provide outstanding customer service and build relationships with regulars
- Train, support, and motivate team members
- Operate POS systems, process payments, and assist with floor service
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional workspace
- Uphold Cohort Coffee Roasters' standards and culture
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a busy café environment
- Head Barista, Supervisor, or leadership experience preferred
- Ability to independently manage 7–8kg+ coffee volumes
- Strong espresso skills,
including grind adjustment, extraction, and milk texturing
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Calm, organised, and positive under pressure
- Reliable, professional, and team-focused
- Passion for specialty coffee, hospitality, and community
