We are seeking an experienced cook to work on a fulltime basis at our busy cafe. There are permanent shifts allocated to the right candidate but also require flexibility. Located at Sydney Olympic Park, it is a family run cafe serving speciality coffee, artisan pastries and breads, and serves Modern Australian cuisines for breakfast and lunch. Days will be from open to close. We are looking for a bright achiever who loves to cook, who is creative, has attention to detail, is a team player, punctual, understands food hygiene at its best and can work under pressure. Tasks *planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation *discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff *demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures *preparing and cooking food *explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations *select and train staff
