Overview

A major global resources/process industry operator is seeking an experienced Procurement & Contracting Manager to support a significant capital projects portfolio across Australia and internationally.

This is a hands-on project procurement and contracting role, focused initially on running multiple large EPC/EPCM tender packages with international contractors. It requires someone who can operate across the full contracting lifecycle, from strategy and tendering through negotiation, award and contract management.

The role sits across procurement, contracting, commercial strategy and project execution support. It is not a narrow procurement role and not a pure post-award contracts administration position.

Key focus areas:

- Contracting strategy and procurement planning
- Market engagement and tender package preparation
- Commercial/technical evaluation coordination
- EPC/EPCM tendering and negotiation
- Recommendation for award and contract formation
- Post-award contract management
- Claims, variations, commercial risk and contractor performance
- Interface with project, engineering, legal,



operations and contractor teams

The ideal background will include major capital project experience in one or more of:

- Oil and gas/LNG
- Mining/resources
- Chemical processing
- Major industrial infrastructure
- Energy/process plant projects

Key requirements:

- Senior procurement and contracting experience on major capital projects
- EPC/EPCM contracting experience across strategy, tendering, negotiation and management
- Ability to personally run large and complex tender packages
- Strong commercial and contractual judgement
- Experience dealing with international EPC/EPCM contractors
- Exposure to claims, variations, disputes and contractor performance
- Ability to work practically in a lean owner-side workplace
- Strong stakeholder interface across project, engineering, legal, commercial and operations teams

This role will suit someone who enjoys complex package strategy, major contractor engagement and hands-on commercial execution inside a major global operator with a substantial capital portfolio.
