We are looking for a hardworking, motivated, and reliable workshop assistant to join our Yatala team. As a Workshop assistant you will be an essential part of our business, ensuring that our busy yard and workshop is organised and safe at all times.

This is a Full Time Permanent role working Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm.

Daily responsibilities will include;

- Operate forklifts and assist with moving equipment around the yard
- Wash, clean, and maintain machinery and equipment
- Carry out general yard duties, manual handling, and loading/unloading tasks
- Drive and reposition equipment as needed
- Ensure the yard is safe, clean, and well organised
- Support the team with other duties as required

The successful candidate will be hard working, be able to work a minimum 47.5 hour week and maintain a positive attitude.

You'll be a team player with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to safety. We'll provide training, but here's what will help you succeed:

- Forklift license and demonstrated FL experience.




- Previous machinery handling experience is an advantage but not essential.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Well-developed communication skills.
- Assertiveness, tenacity with a demonstrable sense of urgency, determination, and resilience.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality; ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and be self-motivated.
- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screen.
- Ability to work a minimum of 47.5 hours per week
- Commitment to safety and teamwork
