We're looking for a hands-on Cafe Chef who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in producing quality food and can confidently work independently as part of a small team.

We're looking for someone who already understands how a commercial kitchen operates and wants to be part of a business where they can contribute, grow and make an impact. This role would suit someone who's completed their commercial cookery studies and looking to build on their experience.

About the role

Working alongside the Kitchen Manager and Kitchen Hand, you'll be responsible for preparing fresh menu items, producing catering orders and helping ensure the kitchen runs efficiently each day.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Daily Salad Prep
- Preparing fresh menu items to a consistently high standard
- Producing catering orders accurately and on time
- Following recipes and established kitchen systems
- Maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards
- Keeping your section clean, organised and service-ready




- Working efficiently during busy breakfast and lunch service
- Assisting with stock rotation and general kitchen organisation
- General kitchen cleaning

We're looking for someone who:

- Has around 2 or so years of commercial kitchen experience (or equivalent experience)
- Is confident with cutting skills and general food preparation
- Has a strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene
- Can work independently once shown the systems
- Works with urgency without sacrificing quality
- Notices what needs doing and gets on with it
- Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
- Enjoys working as part of a small team

We'll teach you our menu, recipes and the way we do things. We're looking for someone who already has solid kitchen fundamentals and is ready to become a valuable member of the team.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $63,000.00 per year
