A very Popular Greek restaurant, Triakosia in Victoria is seeking a qualified Full Time Chef to join their flourishing business. You will have the opportunity to work alongside senior employees who love what they do and have a true passion for the industry.

Key Responsibilities will include:

- Planning of menu items and liaising with the Restaurant Manager and owner on costs/expenses
- Assisting with all aspects of food preparation
- Supervising kitchen staff and working collectively to meet restaurant demands
- Checking of kitchen inventory and ordering of supplies as required
- Estimating of all restaurant costs including food, labour and incidentals
- Mentoring and training of junior staff as required
- Monitoring of food preparation to ensure high standards are adhered to at all times
- Assisting the manager in planning Staff Rosters
- Adhering to all OH&S; regulations and regular updating of policies as required

Triakosia is seeking an individual with the following key attributes:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a busy kitchen workplace




- Certificate IV or higher in commercial cooking
- Expertise in the hospitality sector
- Exposure to Greek Cuisine highly desirable. Training will be provided.
- Superior customer service focus
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to liaise with a diverse clientele
- Flexible, adaptable and ability to work weekdays and weekends
- Well-presented and professional
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Team player with a can-do attitude who can also work effectively unsupervised
- Understanding of OH&S; and food hygiene requirements

Salary Range: $73.200 per year plus superannuation and will be more dependent on experience
