To be successful in this role, it is a requirement that you have:
- Current Police Check,
- Current driver’s licence
- Car, registration and insurance
- A relevant qualification in Disability or Aged Care or Individual Support
- Must be willing to provide or obtain an NDIS worker screening check
- Have a current or be willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR certificate
- Manual Handling (Experience with using a hoist)
- Medication Administration
- Supporting people to stay infection free Certificate
- Experience in providing personal care
Position Responsibilities
§ Uphold the rights and responsibilities of clients (adults and children) in line with the NSW Disability Service Standards and Disability Approved Standard 2014 (ACT ), relevant legislations and organisation policies and procedures.
§ Assist clients to be involved in activities through active support at home and in their community.
§ Assist clients with their needs
§ Encourage, support and assist our clients to develop and maintain family and community relationships.
§ Involve clients in decision making in every aspect of the service they receive.
§ Assist clients to achieve their personal goals and increase their independence through support and participation in decision making.
§ Participate in staff development training as required.
§ Maintain professional boundaries in line with the code of conduct.
Workplace Health and Safety
§ Carry out duties in compliance with INNOVATIVE CARE SERVICES Service WH&S; policies and procedures.
§ Undertake all training in relation to Workplace Health & Safety.
§ Report all WH& S matters to the Supervisor and/or WH&S; committee representative.
§ Read and comply with INNOVATIVE CARE SERVICES Code of Conduct, Policies and Procedures and Work Instructions.
§ Take Care for Health and Safety of yourself and others.
§ Report and act to prevent workplace harassment, discrimination and bullying
§ Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed promptly and recorded in relevant systems in accordance with standards and procedures.
§ Follow contribute and work in a culture committed to continuous improvement through active participation in quality and workplace safety initiatives and identification on areas for improvement including enhancements to policies procedures and practices.
§ Ensure private information is maintained in a secure manner.
§ Assist in maintaining a protected, clean and tidy workplace

Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
