Woden Community Service
Canberra
Woden Community Service (WCS) is a for-purpose organisation that has been providing community-based services for over 50 years. Our vision of ‘A caring community where everyone belongs’ is achieved through our values of Inclusion, Compassion, Hope, Responsiveness, Integrity and Social Justice.
We deliver services across the ACT covering children, families, young people and seniors including housing and mental health services.
Join our dedicated Transition to Recovery (TRec) team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults experiencing mental illness. Through recovery-focused outreach support, you'll help people build confidence, reconnect with their community, strengthen daily living skills, and take positive steps towards a life they choose.
In this role, you will provide flexible, person-centred outreach support for up to 12 weeks to adults transitioning from acute mental health services or requiring support to maintain wellbeing and prevent hospital admission. Working alongside participants, you will support them to build on their strengths, achieve their recovery goals, strengthen community connections, and increase independence and quality of life.
The TRec program operates 7 days per week between 9:00am and 9:00pm.
