What you'll be doing
Royal Prince Alfred Hospital is the principle teaching hospital of the University of Sydney and one of Australia's leading hospitals, providing a extensive range of diagnostic and treatment services with over 900 beds. Its surgical specialities include - Orthopaedic Surgery, Colorectal, Upper GI Head and Neck, Melanoma and Surgical Oncology, Breast, Trauma, Transplant services, Vascular, Cardiothoracic, Orthopaedic, Plastic and Reconstruction, ENT, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Gynae-Oncology and Urology.
The purpose of this position is to provide effective medical services to patients under supervision in a complex clinical environment.

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience, JMO must have worked in an Australian hospital for at least 12 months.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a supervised environment.
- Demonstrated clinical experience and interest in Orthopaedics.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Evidence of continued professional development and commitment to self- education.
- Qualified attitude, flexibility in work role and commitment to participate in after-hours and on-call rosters.
