Cook (Full-Time)
Location: G02/8 Century Circuit, Norwest NSW 2153
Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per annum + Superannuation

About the Role

We are seeking a talented, passionate, and experienced Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes while maintaining exceptional food standards. You will have a strong understanding of both authentic and contemporary cooking techniques and play a key role in delivering an outstanding dining experience.

In addition to food preparation, you will assist with menu development, kitchen operations, stock control, quality assurance, and the training of junior kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes, menu requirements, and customer expectations.
- Ensure all meals are consistently prepared to high standards of quality, taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Assist with menu planning, the development of new dishes, and the creation of daily specials.
- Follow approved food preparation methods and cooking techniques to maintain consistency and quality.
- Inspect ingredients to ensure freshness, quality, and suitability before use.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, storing, and managing food supplies while maintaining accurate stock control.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment at all times.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene,



and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations.
- Monitor food preparation and coordinate service to ensure meals are delivered promptly.
- Support the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and work collaboratively with the kitchen team.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and hygiene practices.
- Inspect kitchen equipment and report any maintenance or safety issues.
- Minimise food waste through effective preparation, storage, stock rotation, and inventory management.
- Stay informed of current food trends and contribute creative ideas to enhance the menu.
- Deliver exceptional food and service standards to ensure an outstanding customer experience.

Skills & Qualifications

- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Culinary Arts, or a related culinary qualification (minimum requirement).
- At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Cook.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
- A positive attitude, robust work ethic, and passion for quality food.
