We are looking for a Crushing Assistant to join our team at Invicta Mill, in the Burdekin Region. This is a permanent position at our sugar processing facility that involves shift work during the Crushing season and day work during the Maintenance season.
The Crushing Assistant is responsible for the operation of turbines along the milling train as well as monitoring the condition of and attending to the operation of shredders, alternators and associated equipment.
Your Role in Action:
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Work effectively within a team workplace
- Work safely and look after the safety of others
- Communicate effectively
- Be able to provide regular and accurate feedback to Operations Coordinators on a station performance and quality issues
The opportunity
While the following are requirements in this role, we are prepared to provide training to the candidate who possesses the right aptitude and team fit:
- Turbine High Risk Work Licence
- Working at Heights Ticket
- Confined Space Ticket
Desirable Tickets:
- Overhead Crane Ticket
- Maintenance skills including High Risk Work Licences - Rigging, Dogging, Scaffolding.
