---The Role (Part-Time | 15 hours per week)

This is a permanent part-time role, with the potential to increase as we continue to grow. You’ll have flexibility in how you spread the hours across the week.

As our Accountant, you’ll support both operational accounting and higher-level reporting while ensuring the business stays compliant and financially healthy.

Core Accounting Responsibilities

· Accounts Payable & Receivable

· Monthly invoicing (accuracy, completeness, timely billing)

· Weekly collections reporting and following up on outstanding accounts

· Reconciling bank statements and credit card accounts

· Month-end journals, reporting, GL maintenance and year-end processes

· Cash flow monitoring & forecasting

· Payroll management

· Delivering weekly operational reporting

· Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules

Tax & Reporting

· BAS, IAS, PAYG, GST, FBT lodgements





· Support annual audit and compliance reviews

Industry-Specific Compliance

· Portable Long Service Leave – returns, reconciliations & legislative compliance

· WorkCover Insurance – claims, annual declarations, renewals & premium monitoring

· Labour-Hire Licensing – licence renewals, workforce reporting, record management

· Award interpretation for labour costings, overtime, penalty rates & margins.

Business Support

· Job costing and contract profitability analysis

· Management reporting to support operational decision-making

· Identifying process improvements and system efficiencies

Who You Are

A proactive, detail-focused accountant who enjoys ownership, structure, and variety.

You’ll ideally bring:

· 2–5+ years accounting experience

· CA/CPA qualified or studying (preferred but not essential)

· Service industry, labour-hire, trade, or cleaning sector experience (bonus)

· Strong Excel + Xero/MYOB capability

· Excellent communication skills and stakeholder confidence

· Ability to work independently with strong follow-through
