Lead Positive Community Change

Join the City of Perth as Coordinator Community Development and lead innovative programs that strengthen community connection, inclusion and belonging. Inspire a high-performing team, build meaningful partnerships and deliver initiatives that create lasting social impact across our city.

Reporting to the Alliance Manager Community Services, your responsibilities would primarily include:

- Leading the City's community development strategy, driving equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives that deliver meaningful community outcomes.
- Inspiring and leading a high-performing team, delivering innovative programs, projects and partnerships that strengthen community connection and wellbeing.
- Building solid relationships with community, government and key stakeholders to address complex social issues and secure funding for strategic initiatives.
- Driving strategic planning and governance, overseeing budgets, policy development, performance, reporting and continuous improvement to achieve the City's vision.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

- Proven leadership experience managing high-performing teams in complex, politically sensitive environments and with stakeholder interests and expectations.
- Strong strategic and project management skills, including budgeting, research, data analysis and program evaluation.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with experience preparing high-level reports, business cases and strategic advice.




- Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships, with a strong understanding of Aboriginal cultural values and a track record of delivering cutting-edge, sustainable community outcomes.
