Description

Lead NAAS construction projects end-to-end from tender handover to commissioning, with real accountability and a direct line to the General Manager.

NAAS delivers construction projects across accommodation, residential, commercial and regional builds. This role owns delivery from mobilisation through to final handover, working side by side with the Preconstruction and Tender Development Lead and Contracts Administrator.

This is a Project Manager role with genuine authority; feasibilities, budget, programme, risk and quality all sit with you, and material decisions go straight to the General Manager. If you want to run projects rather than administer them, this is that role.

What you’ll be doing

- Confirm scope, contract, budget, programme and tender assumptions before mobilisation, then build the Project Execution Plan and keep the risk and decision registers live.
- Coordinate consultants, design, constructability reviews and statutory approvals, and assess design or scope changes for cost, programme and contractual impact before they’re locked in.
- Lead delivery from mobilisation through construction, off-site manufacture, installation, commissioning and close-out,

chairing project meetings and holding consultants and contractors to their commitments.
- Manage delivery within budget, reviewing procurement, progress claims, variations and EOTs before they’re approved or escalated.
- Keep WHS, environmental, quality, NCC and statutory compliance on track, with transparent owners and dates on every risk control.
- Own the client and stakeholder relationship, concise reporting and decision papers to the General Manager, PCG and client meetings, through to certificates, as-builts, defects and final accounts.

What we’re looking for

- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Building or related discipline.
- 7+ years in construction, including at least 3 years as the Project Manager responsible.
- Track record across design, approvals, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover, with tender packages, subcontracts and consultant agreements as second nature.
- Strong command of scope, programme, budget, risk, governance and reporting to PCGs, executives or boards.
- Working knowledge of Australian construction contracts, WHS obligations, the National Construction Code and statutory approvals.
- Strong leadership, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills; you can hold a room and hold a line.
- Current driver’s licence and ability to travel.
- Experience with modular, prefabricated or off-site manufactured builds, or a PM certification or professional membership highly regarded, but not essential.
- Prior use of Procore, Jobpac or equivalent highly regarded, but not essential.

Brisbane-based, with interstate and regional travel as the project pipeline requires.

If you want to lead, not just coordinate, we want to hear from you.
