Disability Support Worker
The All Nations Group Ltd is currently hiring a casual disability support worker. The purpose of the role is to assist clients in performing daily tasks and improve overall independence and wellbeing in a home or community setting.
Location: Various locations
Job responsibilities:
- Assisting with daily care for clients at their home including showering, changing clothes, brushing their teeth, etc.
- Transporting and accompanying clients when required.
- Performing housekeeping including domestic cleaning, laundry, food preparation, shopping.
- Training clients to care for themselves and educate family members.
- Social support to improve clients’ wellbeing and independence.
- Perform administrative duties such as always clocking in/out after each shift, making incident reports, and entering shift notes on the rostering app.
- Attending company training when required.
- Strictly adhere to the NDIS Quality Standards, and WHS policies.
About you
- Confident and calm manner.
- Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely and to adapt communication skills to each client you work with.
- Having experience in working with clients having dementia
Essential Criteria for Selection:
- You can speak languages other than English & English fluently.
- Experience on working with people having a disability.
- Having or working toward Certificate Level III in Individual Support or Disability.
- Current Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Full driver licence and access to a vehicle.
- Current First Aid
