The Mechanician is also responsible for the ongoing advanced diagnostics and continuous improvements of base machine mechanical/electrical maintenance for all Caterpillar (CAT) and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) machines fitted with Caterpillar Technology, where base machine interface impacts the operation of the Technology equipment.

Location: Gudai Darri

Roster: This will be a FIFO Roster, 8 days on 6 off, 7 nights on 7 off, 12 hours per day.

To be successful the following is required:

- An Australian recognised Heavy Mobile Technology or Automotive Electrical Technology Trade

Certificate

- Advanced diagnostics skills in hydraulic, pneumatic and heavy-diesel systems, AND/OR Advanced

experience in Machine Control & Guidance

- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful

working relationships

- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and Technical Specifications
- Previous experience in a mining environment

What You’ll Do:

- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on AHS-enabled CAT and OEM machines.
- Install, calibrate, and commission MineStar system components
- Troubleshoot and repair CAT surface machine systems
- Create and review technical documentation and schematics




- Deliver exceptional customer service and support site operations
- Ensure QA/QC standards are met for all installations and repairs.
