Doncaster Kindergarten was formed fifty-eight years ago as a non-profit community service to families with young children. We provide one three-year-old program with a class of up to 27 children who attend 15 hours per week and a four-year-old program with three groups of children who attend 15 hours per week in a rotational model. We have the benefit of being located in beautiful modern facilities with a newly renovated inviting play space and garden which is much loved by our children. Doncaster Kindergarten is a popular local centre with great families, occupancy and educators who have strong family-oriented values. The kinder is operated by a parent-run Committee of Management who respect educators’ expertise and support their professional development.

Our learning programs are underpinned by intentional teaching and responsive to individual children's strengths, interests and needs. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to assist you in engaging with the Committee of Management, families, fellow team members and other contacts. Conditions of employment
- Permanent part-time role
- 16.25 hours per week (13 contact hours, 3.25 non-contact hours) with the potential for increased hours in 2027.
- Monday 8:00am-1:15pm (Contact time 8:30am-12:30pm),
Wednesday 8:00am-2:00pm (Contact time 8:30am-1:30pm) and Thursday 11:30am-4:30pm (Contact time 12:00pm-4:00pm).
- You will work with our three year old group on Mondays and Thursdays and with one of our 4 year old groups of up to 27 children who attend in a rotational model on Wednesdays.
- VECTEA2020 conditions apply - 46/52 rates (10 week sessional kindergarten leave model)
- You must have an approved Certificate III level Education and Care qualification or a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
- Doncaster Kindergarten is a Child Secure organisation. We have zero tolerance of child abuse and racism. We are committed to aligning with the Child Safe standards and providing a child safe environment and all employees must demonstrate a commitment to child safety, be aware of their responsibilities in this area and undertake relevant training as required. You will be required to complete the Foundations of Child Safety and Mandatory reporting courses.
- You will have a thorough knowledge of the VEYLDF and EYLF as well as the National Quality Standard and current regulations
