Strathfield Hotel is a vibrant licensed hotel offering dining, entertainment and gaming facilities. We are committed to providing a safe, responsible, and welcoming workplace for patrons, and are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Gaming Attendant to join our team.

Position Overview

As a Gaming Attendant, you will:

- Assist guests with gaming machines (e.g. cashing tickets, payouts, credits)
- Be present on the gaming floor, monitor patron behaviour
- Ensure compliance with all relevant gaming laws, policies, and harm minimisation practices
- Promote responsible gambling practices
- Maintain accurate records and registers for excluded persons, incidents, etc.
- Collaborate with other staff (bar, floor staff) to maintain a safe venue environment

You will have an essential role in ensuring that our gaming operations run smoothly, ethically, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements / Certifications

You must hold (or be willing to obtain) the following certifications:

- RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) — required for working in a licensed venue serving alcohol
- RCG (Responsible Conduct of Gambling)



— required by NSW for anyone whose duties involve gaming machines.
- ARCG (Advanced Responsible Conduct of Gambling) — required for staff in senior/oversight roles such as a Responsible Gambling Officer (RGO). From 1 July 2024, NSW venues with 21+ gaming machines must have an RGO on duty when machines are operating, and the RGO must hold ARCG.

If you don’t yet hold these credentials, we encourage you to enroll (through a Liquor & Gaming NSW Approved Training Provider) and complete them.

Additional preferred qualifications:

- Previous experience in gaming / hospitality / customer service
- Good conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
- Strong observation skills and integrity
- Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
