Support Worker needed — school runs & community access (South East Melbourne)
Hey! We’re Hope Anchor Care, a Melbourne disability support provider, and we’re looking for a great support worker to join us for an ongoing role with one of our young participants.
He’s a young boy with autism who’s non-verbal, full of energy, and a real character once you get to know him. The role is mostly school pick-ups and drop-offs during the week, plus getting out into the community, trips to the park, swimming, and whatever helps him have a good day and have fun. There’s some personal care involved too, so you’ll need to be comfortable with that.
We’ll be honest with you: he has high-intensity support needs and can take a bit of energy to keep up with. That’s exactly why we’re being thoughtful about who we bring on. What matters most to us is finding someone reliable who’ll actually stick around, because the last thing this little guy needs is a revolving door of recent faces. If he can build trust with you,
you’ll do brilliantly here.
You’d be a good fit if you’ve worked with children with autism before (especially non-verbal), you’re physically fit and up for an active role, and you’re patient and steady when things get tricky.
A few things you’ll need:
- Your own ABN (this is a subcontractor role — you invoice us for your hours)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Driver’s licence and a reliable, insured car
- A Cert III or IV in Individual Support or Disability is a bonus, not a dealbreaker

Pay: $45.00 – $65.00 per hour
