Furama Darling Harbour is seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Officer to support the daily maintenance and upkeep of our hotel.

This role is suited to someone with general building maintenance experience who enjoys practical work and can respond promptly to maintenance requests across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Complete general repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel
- Attend to guest room and operational maintenance requests promptly
- Carry out basic plumbing, painting, patching, carpentry and minor electrical-related tasks within your level of competency
- Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities, equipment and plant areas
- Assist with furniture repairs, fixture replacements and room maintenance
- Report major faults and coordinate with external contractors when required
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete assigned work orders
- Ensure all work areas are safe, clean and compliant with WHS requirements
- Support emergency maintenance matters when required





About You

- Previous experience in hotel, residential, commercial or building maintenance
- Strong general maintenance and troubleshooting skills
- Able to work independently and manage daily priorities
- Valuable communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, organised and physically capable of completing hands-on duties
- Basic knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements
- Available to work a rotating roster, including occasional weekends or public holidays
- Relevant trade qualifications are desirable but not essential
