Parkville Tavern is seeking a permanent part time Gardener / Handyman to help maintain the venue’s large historic grounds and outdoor spaces. This role is key to ensuring our beer garden remains a welcoming space for guests and the children’s playground stays safe and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain lawns, garden beds, and heritage grounds (mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, mulching)

- Conduct routine playground safety checks and maintain impact surfaces

- Keep outdoor areas clean and presentable for patrons

- Perform minor repairs and general maintenance (furniture, fences, gates, equipment)

- Maintain gardening tools and assist with venue upkeep tasks

- Support outdoor events when required

Requirements

- Minimum 12 months gardening or groundskeeping experience

- Ability to work independently and take pride in presentation

- Practical handyman skills highly desirable

- RSA or Approved Manager license advantageous but not essential
