Role Purpose

We have an exciting opportunity for a Stakeholder Engagement Lead to join our property and engagement team. This key leadership role will be responsible for leading, shaping, and growing our engagement function. The successful candidate will lead the development and delivery of engagement strategies, identify and secure new project opportunities, build and develop a high performing delivery team, and strengthen strategic relationships with clients and partners.

Role Responsibilities

- Lead the development of client engagement strategies, oversee multiple clients' projects and campaigns ensuring adherence to business objectives and delivering on client expectations.
- Build and develop a team of stakeholder engagement/communications delivery professionals, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles whilst creating a positive and team-oriented working environment.
- Lead business development activities, including formation of strategic partnerships with key stakeholders whilst identifying and evaluating new business opportunities.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of bids, tenders and proposals for large scale projects.
- Planning, writing and delivering communications to support the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects including project communications,



managing issues and reputation management.
- Develop, implement and provide advice on communications strategies including preparation of communications materials and delivery of community events.
- Liaise and work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders including landowners, government authorities, community interest groups, businesses, and communities.
- Implement and/or monitor internal and external stakeholder reporting across projects and teams to maintain a high level of engagement, responsiveness, and awareness of stakeholder activities across the client portfolio.

About You

- Demonstrated experience working within a similar role for a tier 1 contractor and/or major engineering consultancy.
- Proven experience in the planning and delivery of major infrastructure projects, project communication, and issues and reputation management.
- Demonstrable experience in creating communication strategies, high quality communication material, and delivering community events.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to be able to prioritise tasks, identify and manage issues, and meet project requirements.
- The ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including landowners, government authorities, community interest groups, and First Nations Peoples, businesses, and communities.
- Excellent conflict resolution and communication skills – including strong writing abilities, strong understanding of IAP2 core values.
- The ability to travel regionally as required, including working in remote or regional locations.
