About the role
Paragon Care distribution services move over 50,000 pharmaceutical, medical consumable, equipment and food products through our national network of state‐based distribution centres.
The Willawong warehouse serves the broader QLD area, as well as interstate and remote country locations daily.
This is a high‐volume, high‐pace environment in the midst of a large organisational change. In addition to the ordinary warehouse operations activities, this role will have regular positive interactions with the employee union, manage grievances, review current work practices and review operating costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate warehouse activities to ensure the timely receipt and availability of products across mixed carton, full pallet and container delivery.
- Proactively identify and escalates opportunities to improve the inbound operation.
- Quickly escalates any issues that may impact operation.
- Ensure information is accurate and provided on time.
- Maintain strict adherence to the Code of Good Warehousing Practice (GWP).
- Identify and drive process improvement opportunities across the receiving and put‐away operations using established methodologies.
- Recommend and implement initiatives to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and cut costs by simplifying processes.
- Facilitate change‐management projects from concept through to successful delivery.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by collaborating with and coaching key stakeholders.
- Develop and recommend solutions to overcome operational constraints and performance challenges.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of effective staff management.
- Proficient in managing workloads and resources.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
