Eminence Energy has several upcoming shutdown and project opportunities across multiple client sites throughout the Pilbara.

We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Commissioning Technicians to join our shutdown teams. These roles will support the testing, commissioning and safe return to service of electrical, instrumentation and control systems across a range of mining and fixed-plant facilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for technicians looking to secure ongoing shutdown work with a growing Western Australian electrical and commissioning contractor.

About the Role

Working as part of a multidisciplinary commissioning team, your responsibilities may include:

- Electrical and instrumentation commissioning activities
- Pre-commissioning inspections and verification
- Inspection and testing of LV electrical systems
- Instrument calibration, loop checking and functional testing
- Point-to-point checks and I/O verification
- Motor bump testing and rotational checks
- Testing of field devices, control panels and associated cabling
- Fault-finding and rectification of electrical and instrumentation issues
- Supporting energisation and plant start-up activities
- Completing commissioning documentation, test records and handover packs
- Working with client representatives, operations personnel and other contractors
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures, permits and isolation requirements

The specific scope of work will vary between shutdowns and client sites.

About You

To be considered, you will ideally have:

- A current unrestricted WA Electrical Licence
- Demonstrated E&I; commissioning experience
- Previous experience on mining, mineral processing or heavy industrial sites
- Solid electrical and instrumentation fault-finding capability
- Experience with commissioning documentation and test records
- A sound understanding of permits, isolations and safe systems of work
- The ability to work effectively within high-pressure shutdown environments
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach to client-facing work
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Experience with fixed-plant infrastructure, switchrooms, MCCs, motors, instrumentation, control systems and brownfield shutdown works will be highly regarded.

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must hold, or be willing and able to obtain:

- WA Electrical Licence

- Construction White Card
- CPR and Low Voltage Rescue
- Working at Heights
- First Aid
- National Police Clearance
- Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
- Full Australian working rights

Current Pilbara site inductions and previous experience working across Tier 1 mining operations will be highly regarded.
