Early Childhood Academic – Job Opportunity

Salary: $121,442 to $143,486 per annum (ALEVB) and $147,889 to $169,932 per annum (ALEVC) plus 17% superannuation. Full‑time, ongoing, Joondalup, City Campus & Online.

About the Opportunity

- Be part of a vibrant early‑childhood academic community.
- Develop and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate course curriculum.
- Engage in teaching and pedagogy development for young children.
- Foster a research culture focused on early childhood.
- Produce high‑quality research outputs and secure research grants.
- Develop postgraduate curriculum, especially for international markets.
- Supervise higher‑degree research students.
- Influence strategic engagement with industry, profession, and community.

About You

Emerging or established early‑childhood academic with language and literacy expertise.

Role Requirements

- Expertise, experience, and a pedagogical approach to early‑childhood education.
- PhD in a relevant discipline, or

1. Substantial progress toward a PhD and skilled equivalency (e.g., leadership in a school or early‑learning setting) with in‑depth knowledge of early‑childhood curriculum, national learning frameworks, quality agenda, research profile evidenced by publications, and ability to teach at university level.
2.



Established or emerging track record in quality research and outputs in Field of Research code 39.
3. Experience supporting culturally and linguistically diverse and/or international student cohorts.

Successful applicant will also need to obtain and maintain a Working with Children Check, a National Police Check and preferably have Teacher Registration in Western Australia.
