We are currently seeking a Payroll Project Implementation Lead to join our team based in Vales Point.

About The Role

- You will lead the payroll implementation activities from final configuration through to go‑live and post‑implementation support.
- Acting as the payroll subject matter expert, you'll ensure the solution is fit for purpose while preparing the business for a successful transition.
- Lead payroll implementation activities through to a successful system go‑live. Review and validate payroll system configuration to ensure compliance with awards, legislation and business requirements.
- Provide expert advice on complex award interpretation and payroll processes.
- Coordinate payroll testing, including system integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and parallel payrolls.
- Develop and execute stakeholder engagement and communication plans to support project milestones.
- Build robust relationships across the business, project teams, vendors and key stakeholders.
- Design and deliver payroll training and support materials for end users.
- Coordinate go‑live readiness activities and provide hypercare support following implementation.
- Identify and manage implementation risks, issues and opportunities for continuous improvement.

About You

- You’ll be an experienced payroll professional who understands both payroll operations and project delivery.




- You're confident working with a wide range of stakeholders and can translate complex payroll requirements into practical system solutions.
- You’ll Bring Extensive experience in payroll, including complex award interpretation.
- Experience supporting or leading payroll system implementations or major payroll projects.
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Experience reviewing payroll system configuration and validating business rules.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills.
- Experience developing and delivering training and supporting organisational change.
- Strong planning, problem‑solving and project coordination skills.
- The ability to remain calm and organised in a fast‑paced project environment.
- Desirable Experience with UKG Time & Attendance.
- Change management experience, including supporting business readiness and adoption.
- Experience working alongside HRIS, payroll or ERP implementation vendors.
- Project management qualifications or experience delivering technology projects.
