The Intermediate Accountant is responsible for delivering accounting, taxation and compliance services across a diverse portfolio of clients. Working closely with the Senior Accountant and Senior Production Manager, you'll progressively develop your technical expertise and professional independence while delivering high-quality work, managing your workflow and building strong client relationships.

Ky Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for a diverse range of clients and business entities.
- Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, FBT Returns, TPAR Reports and other compliance obligations.
- Prepare tax reconciliations, workpapers and supporting documentation.
- Assist with tax planning work and implement agreed tax strategies.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional and responsive communication.
- Manage your workflow to meet deadlines, budgets and quality standards.
- Review your own work to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission for review.
- Identify risks, issues and opportunities and work collaboratively with Senior Accountants and the Senior Production Manager.
- Utilise Xero, MYOB,
QuickBooks, Reportance and other business systems to deliver efficient client outcomes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support a collaborative team setting.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Australian public practice accounting, with the ability to independently prepare financial statements and income tax returns for a range of business entities.
- Progressing towards or holding CA or CPA qualifications (preferred).
- Working knowledge of Australian taxation legislation, including BAS, IAS and income tax.
- Experience using Xero and Microsoft Office, with exposure to MYOB, QuickBooks or Reportance being advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive client relationships.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
