Our client operates one of Queensland's largest and most complex technology environments, delivering critical digital services across a broad customer base. Supporting a substantial portfolio of infrastructure services including end-user computing, productivity platforms, email, secure access, networking, compute, storage and data protection, alongside a diverse application landscape of business, clinical and integration systems, this organisation is undertaking significant transformation to modernise and optimise its technology services.

Your new role

This is a highly visible strategic leadership role that will influence enterprise-wide technology direction, service portfolio evolution and investment priorities.
Working across a complex federated environment, you will partner with senior executives, operational leaders, architecture teams, customers and industry stakeholders to ensure technology services remain aligned to organisational objectives while delivering measurable value.
You will lead the development and implementation of enterprise architecture strategies, principles and roadmaps that support sustainable, efficient and customer-centric digital services. Balancing immediate operational demands with long-term strategic outcomes, you will provide expert guidance on technology investments, architecture governance, service innovation and organisational reform.
Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and maintaining enterprise architecture strategies, standards and roadmaps.
- Providing strategic architectural leadership across infrastructure, applications and digital services portfolios.
- Influencing ICT planning, investment decisions and technology governance.
- Leading technology and service portfolio transformation initiatives.




- Partnering with stakeholders to identify opportunities for service improvement, optimisation and innovation.
- Driving adoption of sustainable, value-for-money technology services and solutions.
- Supporting business and system reform through enterprise-wide strategic planning.
- Ensuring architectural alignment between business objectives and technology outcomes.
- Managing competing strategic and operational priorities across a complex service environment.

What you'll need to succeed

- 5+ years' experience in Enterprise Architecture or enterprise design within large, complex organisations.

- Proven ability to develop enterprise architecture strategies, standards and technology roadmaps.

- Strong experience providing strategic direction for sustainable, value-for-money technology services.

- Demonstrated success influencing ICT planning, investment decisions and business transformation initiatives.

- Experience delivering technology services and solutions within service provider or commercially focused environments.

- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills.

- Strong analytical capability and the ability to influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.

- Experience balancing strategic priorities with operational demands in a fast-paced environment.

- Understanding of large-scale public sector or highly regulated environments will be highly regarded.

What you'll get in return

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Enterprise Architecture, Business or a related discipline.

- Experience within healthcare or other complex government environments.

- Industry architecture certifications such as TOGAF are advantageous.
