About THIS ROLE – Behaviour Support Practitioner (Contractor Position)
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans that are tailored to each client’s individual needs, strengths, goals, and circumstances.
- Hybrid Brisbane based role, involves working across a variety of settings e.g. client homes, community environments, and AdaptiCare Moreton Bay office
- Conducting comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs), identifying behavioural patterns and underlying functions of behaviour,
- Developed BSP's focused on improving quality of life, reducing behaviours of concern, and building capacity and independence for clients.
- Collaboration with clients, families, guardians, and multidisciplinary support teams
- Clear coaching, modelling, and guidance to support workers and stakeholders to ensure fidelity of plan implementation in everyday environments.
- Ongoing monitoring and evaluation of client progress, including regular analysis of behavioural data, incident reports, and support feedback.
- Actively support workplace culture of continuous improvement and growth

About you
- Strong knowledge and application of person-centred, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches is desirable
- Ability to build strong, respectful, and trusting relationships with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Highly developed written communication skills
- Sound understanding of NDIS Practice Standards, safeguarding responsibilities, and relevant legislation
- Ability to work autonomously as a contractor while also contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across a hybrid work model
- Commitment to reflective practice, supervision, and ongoing professional development
- High integrity, respect and care for others

Qualifications & Requirements
- NDIS Registration as a PBS Practitioner - Core upwards (may consider suitable registration with extensive relevant experience)
- WWCC, Police Check, NDIS workers check (or willingness and ability to obtain)
- Ideally demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Ideally drivers license and personal vehicle
- Previous NDIS and community support experience is desirable
