Lifestyle Solutions provides services to people with disability, young people and children in out-of-home care, their families and communities.
We are currently seeking a skilled Residential Care Officer/Worker to join our team working across East Kimberley/Pilbara in a full time role. We are looking for someone who will drive positive outcomes by embedding trauma-informed, culturally safe practices and ensuring compliance with standards and legislation.
The Residential Care Officer/Worker is responsible for delivering case work services to Children and Young People (CYP) in Out-of-Home Care (OOHC), working alongside front-line staff to ensure therapeutic and case plan goals are embedded and achieved.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Draft funding requests for multiple support agencies
- Evaluate client requirements; plan and execute training, support and education programs
- Coordinate awareness of issues and available resources between providers such as government agencies and welfare groups and for-profit businesses
- Source additional help and connect clients to those agencies
- Assess the type and extent of difficulties by one-on-one consultations with clients
- Mentor clients to develop skills to resolve financial, emotional and interpersonal challenges
- Encourage families by facilitating schooling and care for clients in residential care
- Determine other needs and resources such as; trainers, health and welfare professionals and community employment organisations
- Record and report on the progress of clients against established baselines
- Implement and operationalize the state-developed case plan and cultural plan goals. Monitor and report progress and contribute to reviews in partnership with the responsible statutory agency
To be successful, applicants must have:
- A relevant Degree or Certificate IV
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Probity requirements as outlined in Probity Framework.
- Current unrestricted driver's licence relevant to the location in which this role is based
- Compliance with the PGL Code of Conduct and all PGL Policies and Guidelines
