About the Role

Elite Carps Pty Ltd is a premier construction and carpentry firm specializing in high-quality residential and commercial structural frameworks, installations, and timber structures. We pride ourselves on precision, safety, and delivering structural excellence. We are currently seeking a qualified, highly skilled, and self-motivated Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis. In this crucial role, you will work across various sites to construct, install, erect, and repair timber frameworks, structural elements, and fixtures.

Responsibilities

1. Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, engineering plans, and specifications to determine dimensions, materials, and construction requirements.
2. Selecting, measuring, ordering, and preparing timber, plywood, and other building materials while minimising material wastage.
3. Cutting, shaping, assembling, and installing timber components using hand and power tools in accordance with project specifications.
4. Constructing and erecting wall frames, roof trusses, ceiling joists, flooring systems, and other structural timber components.
5. Installing doors, window frames, architraves, skirting boards, cabinetry components, and other internal and external timber fixtures and fittings.
6. Constructing, installing,



and dismantling timber or metal formwork for concrete structures in accordance with project and safety requirements.
7. Fabricating and installing customised timber structures and components, including the use of laminates, Perspex, plastics, and other compatible construction materials where required.
8. Inspecting existing timber structures, identifying defects, and carrying out repair, renovation, and replacement works.
9. Ensuring all carpentry work complies with the National Construction Code (NCC), relevant Australian Standards, project specifications, and workplace procedures.
10. Maintaining a safe work environment by following Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements, using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and operating hand and power tools safely.

What We’re Looking For

·Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent)

·At least 3 year of relevant work experience as a Carpenter

·Basic understanding of construction principles and site operations

·Knowledge of workplace health and safety, site hygiene, and protected tool handling practices

·Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced on-site environment

·Good communication and teamwork skills

·Positive attitude and willingness to learn
