Our client is looking for a well-rounded Pre-Press Operator. Do you have the qualifications to suit a longstanding sheetfed, digital/offset, and large format organization that enjoys an outstanding reputation? The Pre-Press Operator is responsible for preparing digital and offset files for printing, ensuring high-quality output by managing and troubleshooting pre-press processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Artwork: 35%
2. Flight checking
3. Amending files
4. Graphic Design
5. Liaise with sales/client on briefs
6. Proofing
7. Prepress: 35%
8. Preparing file for printing
9. Amending files for printing
10. Liaise with printer for jobs

Engage outsource supplier
12. Admin: 20%
13. Monitoring Email boxes
14. Follow Up
15. Huddles
16. Continued Learning: 10%
17. Referring to knowledge base / previous orders for specific jobs i.e., outsource
18. Maintenance: 5% (this is ad hoc and may only occur 1-2 times a year)
19. Updating programs when required
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 5 years of pre-press experience in print or packaging companies
- Works well with a team or as an individual and displays initiative
- Experience within a sheetfed or digital print organization will have a distinct advantage
- However, candidates from a wide format or packaging background should also apply
- Knowledgeable with ALL of the following programs: Adobe Acrobat, Pitstop, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
- Solid exposure outputting to Offset Printing Presses, Digital Presses, and wide-format inkjet devices.
- Experience in Prinect Cockpit and Signa would be an advantage but not necessary (training is available)
