Ultraplayers Game

Box Hill

UltraPlayers is looking for an experienced Publishing Producer to independently manage a focused portfolio of indie game projects through the complete publishing lifecycle.

You will be the main project owner, coordinating developers, internal teams and external partners from onboarding through launch and post-launch.

This is not a task-tracking role. You will be expected to understand the game, identify risks early, drive decisions and make sure each publishing workstream moves towards a successful release.

ABOUT ULTRAPLAYERS

UltraPlayers is a Melbourne-based indie game publisher working with distinctive PC and console games across global markets. We keep our portfolio focused so each project receives meaningful strategic and operational attention.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own multiple publishing projects from onboarding to release.

• Build and maintain schedules, milestones, deliverables, dependencies and risk registers.

• Act as the primary day-to-day contact for developers.

• Coordinate marketing, community, localisation, QA, creative assets and Steam operations.

• Manage playtests, demos, festivals, store-page preparation, launch readiness and post-launch reviews.

• Identify blockers and risks early, and drive clear decisions, owners and next actions.

• Keep developers and internal teams aligned on scope, responsibilities and deadlines.

• Build reusable publishing processes, templates and project documentation.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• End-to-end publishing or release experience on at least one commercially released PC or console game.

• Experience working directly with developers and cross-functional teams.

• Strong understanding of Steam and indie game publishing.

• Practical experience in project planning, QA, localisation, asset coordination and release management.

• Strong professional communication and stakeholder-management skills.

• Ability to independently resolve ambiguity, manage risks and move projects forward.

• Comfort managing several projects with different scopes and timelines.

• Robust judgement about when to challenge, escalate or make a recommendation.

NICE TO HAVE

• Publisher-side experience.

• Two or more shipped titles.

• Experience with international or regional publishing.

• Experience coordinating external QA, localisation or creative vendors.

• Familiarity with Steam pricing, discounts, wishlists and launch performance.

WHY JOIN US

You will own meaningful projects rather than one small function inside a large pipeline. You will work directly with developers, help shape the publishing approach and build systems that support UltraPlayers as our portfolio grows.

HOW TO APPLY

Please send:

• Your CV.

• A list of shipped games you have worked on.

• Your exact responsibilities on each relevant project.

• One major issue or risk you handled, the action you took and the final outcome.

• The parts of the Steam release process you personally owned.
