We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Irrigation Technician to join our growing team. The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining irrigation systems across various commercial sites, racecourses, sporting complex's, open public spaces, councils and schools ensuring systems operate efficiently and to industry standards.
This is a hands-on position involving the installation, maintenance, fault finding and repair of commercial irrigation systems. You will work on a variety of projects across the Perth metropolitan area, with occasional regional travel. Minimum 10 years of experience in irrigation systems work is required.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in commercial irrigation (preferred)
- Ability to diagnose irrigation faults independently
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Truck licence (preferred)
- Australian citizenship
- White Card
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Robust work ethic and attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to travel for regional work when required
Desirable:
- Excavator and skid steer experience
- Welding or poly fusion experience
- Pump station experience
- Electrical fault-finding experience
Duties Include:
- Maintenance of commercial irrigation systems
- Fault finding and repairs to irrigation systems
- Valve, solenoid, sprinkler and decoder replacement
- Controller programming and commissioning
- Pump station troubleshooting and maintenance
- PVC, HDPE and poly pipe installation and repairs
- Reading irrigation plans and as-built drawings
- Operating excavators and other small machinery
- Liaising professionally with clients and site supervisors
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and safety
