The Role

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing and testing embedded software across complex systems, working closely with hardware engineers and multidisciplinary teams.

This role will suit someone with solid embedded C/C++ experience who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and contributing to products where reliability and safety are essential.

Responsibilities

- Develop embedded software using C/C++ across microcontroller-based systems
- Design and implement firmware for RTOS and bare-metal environments
- Work on embedded architecture, state machine design and software development processes
- Interface with hardware components and support debugging using JTAG, SWD and logic analysers
- Collaborate with hardware, systems and verification teams
- Contribute to testing, documentation and regulated development practices

Your Profile

- Strong experience developing embedded software using C/C++
- Experience with RTOS and bare-metal development
- Knowledge of ARM microcontrollers and ideally NXP platforms




- Experience with embedded debugging tools (JTAG, SWD, logic analysers)
- Strong understanding of hardware/software interfacing
- Experience designing embedded architectures and state machines
- Background in safety-critical, regulated or highly reliable systems (medical devices, defence, aerospace, automotive or similar) highly regarded
- Experience working within regulated development environments (IEC 62304 experience advantageous)
