About the Role

Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of projects from planning through to completion. You will manage project resources, subcontractors, site personnel, and customer relationships while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

- Lead and coordinate site teams, supervisors, and subcontractors.

- Plan, schedule, and manage project activities to achieve scope, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

- Ensure adequate resources, materials, plant, and equipment are available to meet project requirements.

- Manage project variations in conjunction with customers and project stakeholders.

- Maintain detailed work schedules and monitor project progress.

- Ensure protected and effective use of tools, equipment, and company assets.

- Drive high standards of workmanship, quality, and site housekeeping.

- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

- Prepare quotations, estimates, and tender submissions as required.

Customer & Business Development

- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication.

- Provide regular project updates regarding scope, cost, progress, and timelines.

- Identify customer requirements and develop practical solutions.

- Prepare accurate quotations and scope documentation.

- Promote reputation for quality, integrity, and service.

- Identify opportunities to expand services and grow existing customer relationships.

Employee Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and develop site-based personnel.

- Establish clear expectations, roles, and performance standards.





- Conduct regular performance discussions and provide constructive feedback.

- Ensure employees are appropriately trained and competent for assigned tasks.

- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and attention to detail.

Commercial Performance

- Monitor project budgets, job costing, and productivity.

- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed commercial targets.

- Review costs, schedules, and resource allocation to maximise project performance.

- Maintain compliance with contractual obligations and customer requirements.

Safety & Continuous Improvement

- Champion a robust safety culture across all projects.

- Participate in and lead toolbox talks and safety initiatives.

- Support continuous improvement through ongoing training and professional development.

- Contribute to process improvements that enhance project and business performance.

About You

- Demonstrated experience in a Construction Manager, Project Manager, or Senior Site Manager role.

- Experience delivering mining, industrial, infrastructure, or heavy construction projects.

- Strong leadership and people management skills.

- Excellent planning, scheduling, and organisational abilities.

- Proven experience managing project budgets and job costing.

- Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills.

- Commercial acumen and experience with quotations and tendering.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- A commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Desirable

- Trade qualification and/or tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.

- Experience working within mining and resource sector environments.

- Queensland Coal Board Medical and relevant site inductions (or willingness to obtain).
