Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll function across multiple entities, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing.Key Responsibilities

- Process weekly payroll accurately and on time
- Review and validate timesheets, leave, overtime, allowances, and deductions
- Calculate wages, PAYG, superannuation, and termination payments
- Maintain employee payroll records, including new starters and terminations
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements
- Manage STP reporting and statutory obligations
- Reconcile payroll, superannuation, and payroll tax accounts
- Prepare month-end and year-end payroll reporting
- Support audits and compliance activities
- Respond to payroll queries and provide stakeholder support
- Identify and implement payroll process improvements





The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be an experienced Payroll Officer with strong local end-to-end payroll experience.You will demonstrate:

- Experience processing high-volume weekly payrolls
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, compliance, PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and leave entitlements
- Experience interpreting awards and enterprise agreements
- Exposure to Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting
- Strong Excel and payroll systems experience
- High attention to detail with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Experience with systems such as ADP, Chris21, Employment Hero, Kronos, MYOB, SAP, Workday, or similar will be highly regarded.
