About the Role

Green Light is seeking an experienced Security Architect to strengthen and enhance the security posture of enterprise container platforms within a Federal Government environment.

This role will act as the primary technical advisor across platform security, security policy, and security operations, ensuring containerised environments remain compliant with the Information Security Manual (ISM) and Essential Eight (E8) frameworks. You will play a critical role in bridging infrastructure operations and security monitoring teams while leveraging advanced container security technologies to drive governance, threat detection, and incident response outcomes.

Due to the nature of the environment, candidates must be based in Canberra and capable of attending site immediately in the event of a security incident.

Note: This is only for Australian Citizens with NV1 Clearance or higher

Responsibilities

- Provide expert security guidance across containerised and Kubernetes-based platforms
- Act as the key advisor to security operations and infrastructure teams on container security risks and controls
- Manage vulnerability identification, assessment, prioritisation, and remediation activities, including CVE management
- Lead security incident triage and investigation activities relating to container platforms
- Ensure platform alignment with Information Security Manual (ISM) and Essential Eight (E8) requirements
- Utilise Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security (ACS)



to enforce runtime security policies and vulnerability management controls
- Identify visibility, detection, and monitoring gaps within existing security tooling and processes
- Integrate platform logs and security alerts with enterprise SIEM platforms
- Support log parsing, event correlation, and security monitoring improvements
- Work closely with Unix Operations, Infrastructure, Security Operations, and external vendor teams
- Develop and refine operational security processes and procedures
- Deliver knowledge transfer and training to uplift security operations capability in container and Kubernetes security
- Produce and maintain security documentation, standards, and implementation guidance

Required Skills & Experience

- This is only for Australian Citizens with NV1 Clearance or higher
- Proven experience in a Container Security, Platform Security, DevSecOps, or Cyber Security Engineering role
- Strong experience securing Kubernetes and containerised environments
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security (ACS) or equivalent container security platforms
- Deep understanding of Australian Government security frameworks, including:

- Information Security Manual (ISM)
- Essential Eight (E8)





- Strong knowledge of vulnerability management and CVE remediation processes
- Experience conducting security incident investigation and response activities
- Experience integrating security tooling into SIEM platforms
- Strong understanding of:
- Security monitoring
- Threat detection
- Log analytics
- Event correlation

- Experience working with infrastructure, operations, and security teams in complex environments
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, technical communication, and documentation skills

Mandatory Requirements:

- Current NV1 Security Clearance or higher
- Ability to work onsite in Canberra when required, including immediate attendance during security incidents
