About the Role

As a Panel Beater, you will play a key role in restoring damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition. You'll be responsible for repairing and reshaping damaged panels, restoring structural integrity, and ensuring every repair meets the highest quality standards.

You'll work closely with our estimators, painters, and technicians while also providing guidance and support to apprentices to help develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Remove dents, scratches, and other panel damage.
2. Straighten and reshape damaged panels using appropriate tools and repair techniques.
3. Repair or replace damaged vehicle components as required.
4. Align and fit repaired panels to manufacturer specifications.
5. Prepare repaired surfaces for painting.
6. Assist estimators in identifying any additional damage during the repair process.
7. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
8.



Work collaboratively with the workshop team to achieve quality outcomes and meet repair deadlines.
9. Support and mentor apprentices where required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

1. Trade qualification as a Panel Beater.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar automotive repair environment.
3. Strong knowledge of modern panel beating techniques, equipment, and materials.
4. Experience using hand and power tools, including welding equipment, grinders, and repair tools.
5. Ability to interpret repair methods and technical specifications.
6. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and a positive team attitude.
8. Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
9. A current and valid driver's licence.
