We are seeking a skilled and experienced Licensed Welder to join our growing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a wide variety of structural steel and construction projects while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and safety.

Job Responsibilities:

- Perform MIG, TIG and FCAW welding on structural steel components in accordance with engineering drawings and welding specifications.
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, fabrication plans and welding procedures.
- Prepare, cut, fit and assemble steel components prior to welding.
- Inspect weld preparations and completed welds to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and quality requirements.
- Operate welding equipment and associated fabrication machinery safely and efficiently.




- Carry out repairs and modifications to fabricated steel components where required.
- Ensure all welding activities comply with workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of welding equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers, fabricators and project teams to achieve production and project deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and report any quality or safety issues.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fabrication efficiency and quality.

Requirements:

- Ideally a relevant trade qualification as a Welder (Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent).
- Current welding licences and/or qualifications relevant to structural steel fabrication.
- Minimum 3 years of full-time experience in structural steel fabrication and welding.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques and quality control requirements.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Construction industry experience will be highly regarded.

A salary of $80,000 - $100,000 + superannuation will be offered to the successful candidate.
